In this article, we will look at knowing Jesus from the scriptures especially those which deal with Him in the gospels – that is from Matthew to John.

It is my desire that as you know Him from the scriptures, that you will also have a desire to be made similar to Him.

Pray that the Heavenly Father will give you KNOWLEDGE of the scriptures in regards to Jesus.

Pray that the Heavenly Father will give you REVELATIONS of Jesus.

Pray that the Lord Jesus Christ Himself will give you personal ENCOUNTERS with Him.

Description

The desire of Apostle Paul was to KNOW Jesus.

There are three ways I believe we can know Jesus.

a) By The Scriptures

We can search the scriptures because in them Jesus is revealed to us. Jesus correctly said that the scriptures testify of Him.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

The word testify means to be a witness, give evidence, bear record or report.

The scriptures gives us a record of Jesus that helps us to know Jesus.

Those who desire to know Jesus must read and know the scriptures.

b) By Revelation

Peter the disciple of Jesus got to know Jesus in a deeper way because the heavenly Father revealed who Jesus was to him. The knowing of Jesus by Peter come by revelation.

c) By Divine Encounters

This is one of the ways in which Saul who was persecuting the church come to know Jesus. He had a heavenly encounter with Jesus Himself.

CONFORMED

The desire of Apostle Paul did not stop at knowing Jesus but went further to being CONFORMED to his likeness.

In this article, we will look at knowing Jesus from the scriptures especially those which deal with Him in the gospels – that is from Matthew to John.

It is my desire that as you know Him from the scriptures, that you will also have a desire to be made similar to Him.
