 Is there a need for the Body of Christ to look at the topic of healing? Yes, there is. So many diseases and sicknesses plague today’s world. Many millions of people are suffering from diseases and sicknesses, which are baffling doctors. Some have even been told there is no cure for them. Many have ended up using millions of shillings trying to cure their diseases with no real solution. Many more are dying because of sickness and diseases.

All through the history of man there has always been a disease or diseases that man could not heal. Every time man got a breakthrough and was able to cure the disease that seemed to be plaguing him another would come up. In Bible times up until today the disease of leprosy has no cure. There are many more diseases man is fighting with today that have no cure as of yet. The most common being AIDS.

The interesting thing is that even though man has had to deal with some disease/s that did not have a human cure some of those who were sick with such kinds of disease/s have been healed. Their healing has been got from looking up to the God of the Bible who is able to cure and heal all disease. A man called Naaman in the Bible who suffered from leprosy, was healed by the power of God when he obeyed the word that Elisha a prophet of God gave him. God is still able today to heal those diseases which man cannot cure. It is not a must for one to die in sickness and disease since there is a solution.

The good news is that the Bible, which is God’s Word to us, offers us a solution for the sickness and diseases of man. There is therefore need to share on the word of healing that will again turn away the tide of sickness and diseases first in the church and then to the rest of the world through the healed church.

The saints or believers must first of all be healed for there are many who are sick and dying even though divine healing is their portion. The church is to be God’s healing agent on the face of the earth. Jesus literally commissioned the church to go and heal and also gave power over unclean spirits, some of which cause some of the sickness and diseases. The saint must rise up and declare war on every attack of sickness and refuse to be denied his or her portion in Christ.

The intent of this book is therefore to have a comprehensive look at healing through the Holy Scriptures. We will look at some of the causes of sickness, how to be healed, how to minister healing, the healing of the soul of man (which, if sick, manifests in the body) and much, much more.

If you are a believer, I urge you to begin to put these truths that you will learn in this book into practice. You may begin by affirming to people that God is a God who heals his people. You should also go on and begin to lay your hands on the sick and expect them to recover for this is one of the signs that will follow them that believe.
