Description
The title of this book, Following Christ Without Christianity, seems to be a contradiction in terms. To many people, and indeed to the ordinary eye, Christianity and Christ are one and the same thing: Christ is the savior and Christianity is the vehicle in which salvation is carried. However, this book sees things differently. Christ is indeed the Savior of the world, in accordance with the strict teachings of the Bible. But Christianity is a religion that emerged from progressive distortions of the preaching and teachings of Jesus Christ, resulting into what we see today as Christian denominationalism, characterized by glaring and scandalous divisions and differences in which every denomination caricatures its own type of christ. In order to know the real Christ and benefit fully from His salvation, we must go the simple way of the Bible, as opposed to the varied ways of the severely divided Christianity.
