Description
The book of Joshua is named after its leading character, Joshua. The name Joshua means Jehovah saved. His original name was Hoshea which means deliver. He’s the one who took over the leadership from Moses after he died. His appointment to leadership was ordained by God even before Moses died.
This book is all about how Joshua and the Israelite’s crossed the River Jordan to take possession of the Promised Land with the help of Jehovah. God is clearly involved in warfare as they conquer and take possession of the land. This book is full of excitement as one sees the unfolding of God’s promise and prophetic fulfillment of His word given many years before this generation of Joshua.
This commentary on the book Of Joshua offers insights that are still relevant and applicable to us today whom the Lord God has called to “conquer and possess” in the areas He has placed us in.
I encourage you to get a copy and read.
