Description
A few years ago, the Teaching Practice (TP) Teacher Mentor office was created by Kenyatta University (KU), Nairobi, Kenya. They decided to do an experiment where a lecturer and a graduate teacher assessed a student-teacher and compared the student’s scores. Realizing that both assessors arrived at the same grade, the TP Teacher Mentor office developed a theory. If an experienced doctor could mentor an intern doctor, the same principle could be applied to the teaching profession!
The office decided to implement that theory by training experienced graduate teachers with integrity and good work ethic, then released them to work as student-teacher assessors. This arrangement was executed in 2006, gaining popularity among other Universities across Kenya.
This book offers secrets that the author has learned from her teaching experience and her service as a Teaching Practice (TP) Teacher Mentor.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)
